Gluten Free Products For Those On The Go

Published by Jennifer at 3:22 am under Gluten Free

If you have celiac disease you may have found it is difficult to find safe, gluten free products, especially whenever you are in a hurry.  This is because you cannot grab a bagel or muffin on your way to work. You may have also discovered that most energy bars, sports drinks and quick lunch options also contain gluten.  However, it is possible to find good, cost-effective, gluten free products other than fruit.

Gluten Free Products: Snack Options

If you are in search of an energy bar, you should try Larabar’s gluten free products.  They are raw but taste good, have interesting flavors and are filling.  This can make a great breakfast choice, as they are available in lemon, banana cookie, cinnamon roll, ginger snap, cocoa mole, pecan pie, chocolate coconut, cherry pie and cashew cookie.  These gluten free products can be ordered by the box from their website.

For a snack you can try Oskri’s gluten-free coconut bars.  Of course, these bars come in a variety of flavors including cherry, strawberry, pineapple, mango and almond.  These gluten free products cost about two dollars a bar at most whole food stores or by the box or case from the company’s website for less than a dollar each.  Plus, if you order five boxes you will get one free.  This company also makes numerous condiments and candies, some of which are also gluten free products.

Gluten Free Products: Energy Drinks

If you are looking for energy drinks you will find that a lot of them contain maltodextrin, which is derived from wheat.  However, Glaceau’s Vitamin Water is gluten free and each flavor contains a different combination of herbs and nutrients.  This is great nourishment since people who suffer from celiac disease have trouble absorbing nutrients.  You will also find that Glaceau, FruitWater and SmartWater are also gluten free products with vitamins.  Another option in this category is Gatorade but not PowerAde.  Different companies make these similar products, and PowerAde contains maltodextrin.

Gluten Free Products: Lunch On The Go

Whenever you find that you do not have time to pack a lunch in the morning, grab a Thai noodle dish by Thai Kitchen.  These are high-end ramen rice noodles and they are double-sealed in order to prevent gluten cross-contamination.  They are easy to find in many supermarkets and come in a range of spicy flavors.  Their garlic flavor and garlic and spring onion flavors are the ones that come the most highly recommended of all.  However, you do need to check for allergy information whenever you are buying these products because they are not all gluten free products.
