Follow An Antioxidant Diet To Rid Your Body Of Free Radicals

Published by Author at 6:04 am under Antioxidants

When you’re looking to become healthy, you make a conscious decision to eat right, you take up an exercise plan and you drink plenty of water. However, you should also think about ridding your body of free radicals which can cause illness and/or disease. You can rid your body of these antioxidants by taking an antioxidant vitamin or you can just use the antioxidant diet. The antioxidant diet involves eating certain foods which will rid your body of harmful toxins and the ever elusive free radicals. You only need to know which foods to eat on the antioxidant diet in order to incorporate it into your already healthy food plan.

Foods To Eat

The most common types of foods on the antioxidant diet are those that involve plant life. Fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains provide the antioxidant help your body needs. Antioxidants can often be identified by the color of the food. For instance, the deep red color of cherries or the orange of carrots can identify different antioxidants in the antioxidant diet.

Beta Carotene

Beta carotene can be found in various fruits and in carrots in the antioxidant diet. Beta carotene neutralizes free radicals which can damage cells and it increases your body’s natural defenses.

Lycopene

Lycopene is found in tomatoes and various processed tomato products. This antioxidant is very good for prostate health.

Flavonols

Flavonols are found in onions, tea, apples and broccoli in the antioxidant diet. This antioxidant gets rid of the free radicals in your body and also increases your body’s natural cell defenses.

These are just a few of the antioxidants that can be found in the antioxidant diet. As you can see, they are normal foods you may already eat on a regular basis. If you don’t already eat these types of foods, you can incorporate them into your diet to become healthier than you’ve ever been before. You can help your body get rid of the toxins and free radicals, you can assist your body with wound healing, and you can help ward of illness and disease without ever taking a multivitamin.

Study up on the various foods in the antioxidant diet and begin eating them every day and watch how good you’ll begin to feel and how healthy your body will become. By knowing what to eat on the antioxidant diet, you’ll be one step closer to a newer, healthier you.
